Our first anniversary

When Sean asked me what I wanted for our anniversary, I asked him if we could go ice skating in the backyard and take pictures. It was his idea to wear our wedding clothes.

We threw our wedding together in a week. I paid $25 for my dress, $25 for my boots, inherited a FANTASTIC coat from Binky, and our brother-in-law was our preacher man. My father-in-law walked me down the aisle, my best girlfriends provided the music, and Shannon and Scott threw us an amazing intimate reception. It was the perfect day.

We’ve been together for four blissful years now, and married for one. I couldn’t love being a Malone more than I already do. Just look at this boy:

And of course, here’s the infamous coat:

The best part of the shoot was when we had realized that somehow the dogs had locked the back slider door and we were stuck outside. Sean had to remove his skates and walk in his socks through the snow to the front door to let us in.

But of course, life is always an adventure and all you can do as you realize that your dogs have locked you out on the back porch is laugh. And so that’s what we did.

Here’s to many more laughter-filled years to come…
