We’ve built a backyard ice skating rink
We were watching the Winter Classic (go Bruins!) and decided to build our own rink. My car is dying in the shop until Monday, so we’ve been staying close to home. And the pipes have frozen a few times, but it’s nothing a hair dryer can’t fix. We’re both pumped that the temperatures are going to be below freezing all week. I’d like to make an addendum to the Beatle’s song, because all you need is love… and water.
We’ve been layering the ice all weekend. It’s finally starting to shape up enough so we can skate on it. Well, so that I can skate on it. My standards are low. Sean is waiting for a couple of more layers so that he can speed skate before he breaks out his skates. I’m just so bad at it that I can’t tell the difference. So whats a few bumps here and there?
