I can’t believe Alex is five. He’s like, potty trained, and talking, and playing t-ball, and going to kindergarten. When did that happen?

For his party, a Critter Caravan showed up, bringing with it all sorts of animals: rabbits, hedgehogs, guinea pigs, skinks, boa constrictors, chinchillas, and—last but not least—cockroaches. We even had a cockroach race! It was a very fun and eventful 5th birthday party and Alex was in critter heaven.

And Alex, even though you are growing so fast, one thing remains constant: your extreme love of birthday cake.
